The Lemcom vacuum pump (photo) is said to be the world’s first vacuum pump with functionality for communicating mechatronics, making it possible for operators to receive realtime information, and enabling corrective and preventive maintenance of the pump. As with the company’s other intelligent vacuum pumps, the Lemcom integrates two energy-saving technologies: ASR (Air Saving Regulator); and ASC (Air Saving Control), making it possible to attain up to 90% energy savings, says the manufacturer. The units are suitable for applications in gripping airtight materials in the automobile, aeronautical and plastics sectors. — Coval SAS, Montélier, France
